The name refers to Walter Ferenc, a visionary entrepreneur of his time. Despite the aggravating circumstances during the Cold War era in Hungary, Ferenc was known for his ability to strike great deals, his excellent negotiation skills, and his sensitivity towards social responsibility. Growing up in such an environment, the young Attila decided to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather. This determination resulted in the establishment of one of the region’s leading transportation companies, while also running the family holding.
Attila’s daughter, Barbara, was no exception from this longstanding, entrepreneurial tradition either. As a professional horse rider from a young age, she first started by selling and buying sport horses and equipment. Later on, she graduated as an international relations expert and went on to join the corporate world. Her experiences in various industries turned out to be invaluable. As a result of all these years at international companies and at the family holding, she built a robust network of professionals both in Hungary and abroad. Her vision as the company’s Managing Director is to turn Walter Ltd into an internationally recognized trading house in the global commodity market.
